Roland Chai

President of European Markets, EVP Nasdaq

The influence of geopolitics on global financial markets cannot be underestimated, and few people are better positioned to understand and navigate this complexity than Roland Chai.

As President of European Market Services and Executive Vice President (EVP) of Nasdaq, Chai oversees some of the world's largest exchanges in both the US and Europe. In addition, he plays a key role as chairman of the Nasdaq Clearing Board and sits on the board of the International Securities Services Association (ISSA).

Roland Chai has an impressive career in risk management and market infrastructure, with previous roles as head of Nasdaq's Marketplace Technology division and as Nasdaq's first Global Chief Risk Officer. He has also held several leadership positions in risk management and trading at exchanges such as the Hong Kong Exchange and LCH.Clearnet Ltd.

With his extensive experience and deep understanding of international financial markets and regulations, Chai brings valuable perspectives to the intersection of finance and geopolitics.
